Morning Dog's Brazil Cerrado Swiss Water decaf is from Minas Gerais, the largest coffee producing region in Brazil. The Cerrado refers to the large biosphere consisting of grassy savannah, scrub lands and gallery forest. It is a stunning Brazil coffee with a sweet chestnut aroma and a soft silky body.

What is Swiss Water Decaf?

The Swiss Water process of removing caffeine is 100% chemical free, using pure water to gently remove the caffeine.

The process removes caffeine via soaking, water extraction and carbon filters. This reduces the loss of organic materials which add to the aroma, taste and flavour profiles created during roasting, without using aggressive chemical solvents and gases in the process.

Who doesn’t love a really good cup of coffee? Well we do, life is too short for bad coffee!

In 2018 Morningdog Coffee was formed and steadily grew from a small passion to a well established favourite. Then, as a hobby, a small coffee roaster was bought for use in the utility room.

The aroma of freshly roasting coffee was wonderful! As demand for the coffee grew beyond family and friends a larger coffee roaster was purchased and relocated to a log cabin in the garden. A website was born, stockists acquired and coffee was sold at all the local farmers markets.
The name? Pepe was the original owners pet dog. In 2018 he was rehomed from Spain and added a great deal of fun, joy and ball throwing! He was full of vitality, a real get up and go dog. All the things you associate with a good cup of coffee. “Morning dog” is what they would say every morning … and so the name was born.

In 2025 the business was sold to Aboyne resident Jamie. He took over and has now grown Morningdog Coffee into a respected and popular coffee, not only across Aberdeen city and shire but the United Kingdom.
